Visit the quaint town of Augusta on the evenings of December 5^th and 12^th from 5 PM – 10 PM to experience a classic Norman Rockwell Christmas at the Augusta Candlelight Christmas Walk. Take a step back in time as you arrive at The Historic Daniel Boone Home and historic village. Illuminated by thousands of lantern-lit candles, the historic village comes to life with storytellers reminiscing of winters past. Tour the inside of the home where you’ll find Daniel and Rebecca Boone recalling their favorite holiday memories. This event is on December 5^th, 6^th, and 12^th with tickets available for access to both the village and the home or just the village. Purchase tickets ahead of time, the event is nearly sold out!

Defiance Christmas Festival

Have yourself a merry little Christmas at the 16^th annual Defiance Christmas Festival. Start the day at the Dashing through Defiance 5k Walk/Run and stick around for the Christmas parade at noon. Rumor has it that Santa himself will make an appearance! Decorate your ATV, golf cart, or 5x5, dress up your pet, or show off your classic car and sign up to be in the parade. Prizes will be awarded to the best in each category. Santa will stay in town after the parade for pictures at the Roadhouse Pavilion. Shop at the Christmas market while you listen to live music and enjoy the festivities. Don’t forget to stop by 150 Defiance Road to warm up at the St. Paul’s UCC’s Chili and Soup Luncheon. It’s a true winter wonderland that you don’t want to miss. This festival is on December 6^th and goes from 9 AM – 4 PM.

After the Dash at Good News Brewing

Visit Good News Brewing in Defiance to celebrate the Defiance Christmas Festival in style. Doors open early at 9 AM for guests to enjoy hot cocoa, boozy coffee, bloody marys, and craft beer during the Dashing through Defiance 5K. Fuel up with a wood-fired pizza starting at 11 AM and watch the Christmas parade go right by the brewery. The festivities continue after with live music from Joe Metzka from 1 PM – 4 PM.

New Melle Country Christmas

It’s never too early to start celebrating Christmas! Get the holiday festivities started at the New Melle Country Christmas November 29^th from 4 PM – 7 PM. Enjoy activities like balloon art, face painting, a photo booth, magic show, and more. Santa will make his grand entry on the back of a firetruck and light the New Melle town Christmas tree at 4:45 PM. He will stay in town for photos until 7 PM before he needs to check on the reindeer and elves at the North Pole. Get in the spirit of giving by bringing a new teddy bear for Children’s Hospital patients in honor of Trevor Joerling and nonperishable food items for the food pantry.

Augusta wineries — Balducci Vineyards, Montelle Winery, Augusta Winery, and Mount Pleasant Estates — are teaming together for a multi-winery Christmas market near St. Charles. On December 13^th from 12 PM to 5 PM, visit Historic Missouri Wine Country for a little taste of Christmas. The Christmas Market features vendors at each winery, as well as special holiday-themed drinks, hot cocoa, cookies, and festive music.

From 5 PM – 9:30 PM, find a cookie decorating station, a DIY ornament bar, holiday drinks, and photo-ops at the local winery. The Appellation Café’s full menu will be available, featuring their popular white chicken chili, to help warm you up. Don’t forget to bring canned food to use to vote for your favorite Christmas tree in the Tree Decorating Contest. The canned food will be donated to a local food bank.
