The Frenchtown Heritage Museum and Research Center's current exhibit is entitled "Historic Churches of St.Charles". The exhibit will be at the museum until April 28.
The display will show the history of St. Borromeo Catholic , the oldest church in St. Charles along with histories of many churches in St. Charles.
The exhibit explains how the influx of immigrants of different nationalities warranted the establishment of churches of different religion. One reason also was because the parishioners wanted the service in their native language.
The Museum located at 1121 North Second St. St. Charles, is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 3 p.m. or group tours by appointment. There is no admission fee but donations are always welcome. More information at http://www.frenchtownmuseum.net or 636-724-2106 or 636-946-8682
