Featuring a padded slip-and-slide the length of three football fields, Slide the City will be set up on Mexico Road at Fort Zumwalt West High School on Saturday and Sunday, July 25 and 26. Food trucks, vendors, music and complimentary parking and shuttle service will make Slide the City - O'Fallon the county's hottest summer street party.

"This new event is going to be one of the highlights of this summer," said Tourism and Festivals Manager Marsha Seymour. "It has sold out in other cities, and it will sell out here too! We encourage everyone to sign up for this family-friendly event as soon as possible. To ride the slide, kids must be at least 5 years old and 46 inches tall, but we'll have a really fun atmosphere with great food and entertainment to make sure that all ages enjoy the fun. And, people will be able to purchase Slide the City merchandise and upgrade their tickets on the day of the event if space is available."

In order to slide, tickets must be purchased for each day of the event. Ticket options include:

  • One single slide for $15
  • Three slides in one day for $30
  • Unlimited number of slides per day (VIP) for $50

Prices will increase as the event nears; day-of-event registration will be $30, $45 and $65, if tickets are still available. Sliding starts at noon and continues through 5 p.m. However, VIP ticket-holders will be able to slide from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. To save 10% off all ticket options, go to www.ofallon.mo.us to register and enter the promo code ofallon15.
