Whether you consider yourself a wine connoisseur or you have to Google “Wine phrases to make me sound smart” before a wine tasting, La Fête du Vin has something for everyone. Find a wide variety of reds, whites, rosé, and everything in between. Located on North Second Street between Lawrence Street and Wood Street, La Fête du Vin St. Charles features several vendors for people to sample and enjoy. “We’re really excited about the amount of variety we have this year,” Stacey Chambers French Chapter Representative said. “We’ve nearly doubled the amount of vendors from last year. Guests can find beer, wine, whiskey, rum, and more to sample and purchase.”

Try wine, food, and other products from Frenchtown businesses like Good News Brewing Company, Course Coffee Roasters, La Belle Vie, and Bike Stop Bakery, and regional wineries like St. James Winery, Chateau St. Genevieve, Ozark Viking Meadery, and Small Batch Winery, all in one place. Get a sample, a glass, or even a bottle, and determine your favorite Missouri wine. Pair it with cheese from Cool Cow Cheese and bites from Marcionette’s, Novellus, and Savor for the quintessential wine pairing at La Fête du Vin.

As you sip on wine and listen to live music, admire artwork from the Riverfront Paint Off, a Plein Air Art Event coinciding with the St. Charles Wine Festival. Local artists spend the morning of September 6 capturing the beauty of Frenchtown while painting live on-site. View original artwork and watch as artists continue to paint during the wine festival in St. Charles. Several one-of-a-kind pieces will be available to purchase at the festival as a way to bring home a piece of Frenchtown. “We love that La Fête du Vin is a part of historic Frenchtown because we get to showcase the area to people who may not have known about it before,” Chambers said. “We’ve seen – and are a part of – Frenchtown’s growth which is absolutely amazing. There are so many great businesses here and we want people to leave thinking that stopping by was a great way to spend their day.”
