Combined, St. Charles City & County Parks contain more than 40 parks in total. That adds up to nearly 5,000 acres of parks, trails, playgrounds, campgrounds, kayaking, biking… you name it! St. Charles Parks are always free to visit. Discover romance as you stroll through Frontier Park, and have fun with the family at St. Charles Playgrounds!

Main Street Saint Charles is free to visit, and so are the festivals that it’s famous for. Visitors looking for a magical experience around Halloween (Legends & Lanterns®) and the holidays (Saint Charles Christmas Traditions®) often opt for Main Street as an extremely affordable destination with top-of-the-line entertainment! 

St. Charles is rich in arts and cultural experiences. The Foundry Art Centre is located at the North end of Main Street and has a rotation of fantastic exhibitions. This publicly-owned community arts center is always free, and always kid-friendly. Head upstairs to observe the 14 studio artists who run their practices out of full-time studios upstairs.
