Legends & Lanterns®: A “Spirited” Journey Through Halloween History is proud to present a unique Sensory Friendly ExpEERIEnce for guests of all ages who would be more comfortable enjoying some of the festival’s iconic Halloween programming in a less-stimulating environment.
Taking place at the Historic KATY Depot in Frontier Park on Sunday, October 20th from 10am-11:15am, participants will be able to enjoy:
- Interactions with a select number of our iconic family-friendly witches, villains, and spirits from history and folklore along the deck of the KATY Depot.
- A commemorative festival passport to take home as a souvenir featuring images of all of the characters.
- A self-guided tour of the family-friendly Halloween exhibits within the KATY Depot with modified lights and sound levels. Exhibits include:
- Tinseltown Terror (a video loop featuring clips from the golden age of monster movies from the 1930s-1950s)
- The Warbling Gourds (a trio of whimsical singing Jack-O-Lanterns)
- Morbid Curiosity (Victorian mourning museum)
RSVPs are open for this sensory-friendly journey through Halloween history.
