St. Peters Rec-Plex
Swim, ice skate, and exercise to your heart’s content at St. Peters Rec-Plex, a family-friendly recreation center located just outside of St. Charles, Missouri. With over 30 years of operation, the Rec-Plex houses a sprawling 236,000 square feet of space and played host to the 2004 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials.
St. Peters Rec-Plex is home to a world-class swimming pool, NHL-size ice rinks, state-of-the-art fitness machines, and an indoor running track. Swimming
The expansive area with indoor pools at St. Peters Rec-Plex is known as the “natatorium,” which has served as a world-class facility for competitions and aquatic events. You’ll find a 10-meter tower and one- and three-meter springboards for diving, a 50-meter heated competition swimming pool, a hot tub, and a co-ed sauna. There’s also a 3,300-square-foot heated family leisure pool, complete with a 130-foot water slide and water play features.
St. Peters Rec-Plex swimming isn’t only for members, though. The Rec-Plex offers daily admission that covers general access to the weight room, cardio room, indoor track, Dynamic Training Room (DTR), gymnasium, ice rink, natatorium (pools), and locker room. Daily admission rates start at $10.
Ice Skating
St. Peters Rec-Plex has three ice rinks with numerous ways to get out on the ice. Enjoy public skate, private figure skating lessons, hockey (including adult drop-ins and lessons), and DJ Skate nights where you can skate along to your favorite tunes. Fitness
The Rec-Plex offers a variety of fitness amenities to help you prioritize your health. Strength train in the weight room, break a sweat in the cardio room, or join group or specialty fitness classes. Take a walk on the indoor track or improve your strength and endurance in the Dynamic Training Room. Looking for one-on-one training? St. Peters Rec-Plex also offers personal training, which is 20% off for members. Kiddos can also join the fun with toddler, youth, and teen fitness classes for ages 18 months to 16 years.
Athletics
Training for your next big race? The Rec-Plex Race series has a race for everyone ages 3 and older. They host a series of annual youth and adult races and triathlons, including the Tiny Tikes Triathlon for kids ages 3-5 years old. Training doesn’t have to stop in the winter, the Rec-Plex offers an indoor triathlon series, so that you can stay at the top of your game all year long. They also have the Dash for Donuts 5k or 7k, which has a unique twist: there’s a donut station halfway through the course!
Amenities
You’ll find a Tot Drop babysitting service that cares for children ages three months to eight years. Tot Drop is free with a family membership or $5 with other memberships or the general public. There’s also a Rec-Plex Gaming Lounge where you can unwind with your favorite Nintendo Switch, Xbox, or PS5 games, with controllers available for rent for $3.50 (rental fees are waived for members). Board games are also available to rent.
Fuel up post-workout or enjoy a refreshing beverage or snack at one of three food courts. Rec-Plex South Food Court also offers concessions with viewing areas to cheer on your fellow athletes.
Adult locker rooms are available near the fitness areas and include a steam room, dry sauna, showers, and lockers, while convenient family locker rooms provide direct access to the natatorium.
